Day One in KL

So I finally arrived here in the beautiful city of KL, Malaysia. Everything went smoothly except for waiting for my luggage for 45 minutes, of course mine was the last to come out, so I had a little panic attack but luckily it showed up just in time to calm me down. I went through customs and as soon as I got out there was a little lady holding a sign that said Hilton Kuala Lumpur, Cody Jensen! I felt like I was freakin famous!
From there I arrived at my hotel where I was told to page my bandleader in his room and he would meet me in the lobby to get me settled in, but there was no answer to my page so I had to figure things out for myself. I talked to the concierge(I don't know if that spelling is right) at the counter and got things settled and went up to my room. They wouldn't even let me carry my own bags, they told me to go to my room and then my bags would arrive shortly after. Crazy right?
So I got all settled in, unpacked my bags and was watching TV when the phone rang and it was my bandleader. He was calling to make sure I made it and wanted to come meet me in my room. We met, then he told me we were going to have a band meeting shortly and then a meeting with the band manager at the hotel.
So we did all that, everyone is so nice in my band and I know were gonna get along great! After that we all went to one of the restaurants in the hotel to eat. It was a buffet, and I was in heaven!! After dinner, four of us went to do some money exchanging and while we were out we decided to check out the local mall. It was HUGE!! We only had time to check out 3 of the 5 levels quickly because we had to get back to watch the last night of the previous band in the club.
We watched the band, then they announced all of us to come up on stage so they could introduce the new band that is taking over, that was pretty awesome. And now I'm back in my room, not having slept for who knows how many hours, so I'm definitely ready for bed....Goodnight!

The Start of Something New!

I'm sitting here in the San Fran airport with nothing to do while I wait for my next flight to Taipei so I decided I might as well start my blog! I'm going to try and update as often as I can so that all of you back in the US can read and find out what kind of crazy business I'm gettin into.
So far nothin too crazy has happened except gettin lost while trying to figure out how to get to the international terminal and getting my ticket exchanged since it's under the wrong name! But other than that things are going smooth and I'm just bursting with excitement to get to Malaysia and get all settled in. That's all I've got for now.
